A gathering to strengthen access to care in Park County
A recent Montana HealthCare Foundation report states: 'Under new federal policy, Montana must check whether adults with low income enrolled through Medicaid expansion have completed 80 hours of work or other qualifying community engagement activities a month at enrollment and renewal. While these work requirements are mandatory, states retain significant discretion in how they are implemented. The strategies Montana chooses for implementing work requirements will have a significant impact on the number of Montanans with low income who lose Medicaid coverage due to administrative factors, even if they are working or exempt from work requirements.'
LiveWell49 is convening interested parties to plan for community-based, coordinated approaches to address the impending changes and minimize the potential for harm.
Healthcare providers and partners who assist Park County residents to discover, enroll in and sustain benefits and resources for their health and well-being are encourgaed to attend.
